A Message from Mr. Ebeling,
Hold on to your hats, the last part of this year is going to fly by. The weather is trying to warm up, the playground is trying to dry out, and after school activities are ramping up! At Bay Harbor, we are going to do our best to keep the seas calm and learning as our priority! I continue to be impressed with what I see each day from our teachers and our learners. Continue to talk to your children about focusing on their learning goals, working hard, and ending the year strong! As always, your partnership is necessary and appreciated.
Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Screen Time Many children today spend most of their day in front of a screen. This may include television, computer, tablet, and phone screens. In some cases, too much screen time can lead to issues such as the following: ● Poor sleep ● Lower reading scores ● Obesity ● Violent behavior Although students can benefit from using screens for educational purposes, sometimes family dynamics are adversely affected by an over abundance of recreational screen time. To this end, the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood sponsors a Screen-Free Week each year. This year’s event is being held from May 4-10. The following are tips from them to help your family reduce the amount of time spent in front of a screen. ● Turn off electronic devices during meals. Use this time to engage in family conversations. ● Keep electronics out of bedrooms. This will help improve sleep. ● Limit the amount of recreational screen time to less than two hours each day. ● Choose certain days or times of the day to be screen free. ● Designate technology free areas of your home.
