Class Placement Update
It is that time of year when parents start to think about “next year” and who the next teacher will be. I wanted to update you all on the class list process that we will again use at Bay Harbor. Our ultimate goal is to put each student in his or her best learning/emotional atmosphere. A LOT goes into making this happen. As we make up a class list, we utilize multiple academic data points, student learning styles, peer relationships, leadership abilities, current teacher feedback and gender equity. Each year we receive many “teacher” requests from parents. I want you to know up front that we cannot honor these requests due to the multitude of factors stated above. My staff work very hard to put your children in the best situations possible. In the event you want to provide specific feedback regarding your child’s strengths, weaknesses or any other beneficial information, please do so. You may send me an email directly <[email protected]>, or use the forms found in the office.

PENNY WARS UPDATE!
During the week of March 23-27 the Student Council held Bay Harbor's annual Penny Wars. We brought in enough pennies to stretch a half a mile and had over 40,000 pennies brought in. Our grand total was over $1,100.00! All grade levels have earned a special treat for participating. Second grade won the Penny Wars and will earn a special incentive as well. Money will be used to help with the SAGA field trip and other possible opportunities. Thanks again for everyone’s participation and help with the Penny Wars! 4th Grade Music
