A Message from the Principal
Dear Sailor Families,
The month of October is flying by and learning is in full swing! During the first couple of months of school there is a heavy emphasis on practicing procedures, learning behavior / academic expectations, assessing to find out what students know and are able to do, and increasing students stamina to sustain attention and learn. It is a fun and busy time of year for all and an important part of a successful year! At Bay Harbor Elementary School, children and student learning is our top priority. We will do everything in our power to ensure we provide our students with a top all-around education.
Important Report Card Update
Beginning this school year, the HSSD Elementary Schools will be shifting to an electronic report card similar to Lineville, Bay View and Bay Port. All schools will be utilizing PowerSchool to do this. During October parent teacher conferences, you will receive a handout with information on how to set up a PowerSchool account and retrieve grades/attendance information. If you have already set up a PowerSchool account for your family, you will not need to do this again. We will continue to provide you with updates and support as we transition to this new reporting process! As always, please contact us if you have any questions at all.
Your Partner in Education,
Tony
