A Message from Mr. Ebeling,
It has been another wonderful year! Thank you, Bay Harbor Families, for your on-going support of our school, our staff, and your children. Our Motto, “All Hands On Deck!”, truly means that everybody (including the student) plays a role in our success. On Wednesday, June 8th at 6:00pm you will receive an automated message from me and links to check the final report card. Please be sure to do this, celebrate the work your child has done, and talk about strengths and areas to grow. Continue to celebrate how far they have come; it truly is amazing! Each child is special and it is our job, together, to help them become the best person they can be!
Enjoy the summer!
Retirements: Enjoy your retirement Mrs. Spahn, Mrs. McDonald, Ms. Yurk
I want to personally thank Mrs. Spahn for what she has done with for our students, staff, and school! Beckie is a committed educator and always puts kids first! She is passionate about education and has taught me a lot in my time knowing her. We will miss you, Beckie!
Mrs. McDonald has been an instructional aide at Bay Harbor and has given her time, skills, and heart to all of the students and staff. Linda’s laugh was easy to recognize and hard not to join. Her positivity was infectious and will be missed!
Ms. Yurk has been the K-1 counselor and has provided the students with that extra level of care and support they need as they begin their school career. Cathy was passionate about ensuring student safety and support.
Playground:
Do you want to build a playground? We FINALLY are! Look for more information to come in the coming months. Our build is planned for August and we will do some type of community kick-off! The below pic is a close representation of the set. We will have blue and yellow as our main colors….because we are Sailors. Additionally, we will be looking to fund rubberized paths and more handicapped accessible equipment and items once the main build is finalized. Thank you to everyone who has supported this project!
Staffing Changes:
As always, staffing changes happen during the year and over the summer. Please see the below changes to staffing for the 2016-2017 school year:
