March 3rd - Music Artist in Residence Coming to Bay Harbor! We are getting ready for an exciting opportunity that is coming to our school on Monday, March 3rd! We have Opera for the Young coming in as a musical artist in residence which is generously being made possible by PTO. Opera for the Young brings live, professional opera to elementary school audiences. All productions are fully staged, sung in English and adapted especially for children. Students appear onstage in chorus and cameo roles; they also help design certain elements of the production’s sets and costumes. This year, Opera for the Young will be performing The Barber of Seville here at Bay Harbor Elementary! Click here for more information about Opera for the Young and a plot synopsis of The Barber of Seville! Students will get to chat with the performers in the morning in several question and answer sessions and then there will be a school-wide performance of the opera starting at 2PM. Parents of student performers are welcome to attend!
