Form due back by Friday, Feb. 5th! Dear parents/guardians of 4th grade students: Don't forget to complete and return the Form about the 4th grade class trip to Madison. We need to know who is planning on going on that trip so that we can book the buses and figure the cost per student and adult. The form needs to be returned to school by February 5th. Also, make sure that you have an approved background check on file with the district if you plan to go on this field trip with your 4th grader. If you are planning to attend and need to complete a volunteer application/background check, please click here for the instructions on how to begin the process - don't delay! Thank you.
Box Tops Winter Contest Update! Thank you to everyone who has been sending in Box Tops so far. Reminder that the winning classroom will earn a movie/popcorn party. The contest ends February 12. Additional forms can be printed - click here. Box Tops can also be sent in a Ziploc bag or envelope. Make sure your teachers name is written on whatever you turn in so your classroom gets them added to their count. Box tops that are expired or missing the product code will not count towards class total since the school cannot earn money on these. Thank You! Dawn Brandt Lineville Intermediate School Music Choices
In March parents of 4th graders will be asked to choose a 5th grade music class. Course descriptions and registration information will be available on March 9, and parents and students will learn about band, chorus, and orchestra classes at Lineville. A selection must be made and the registration completed within two weeks. Parents who desire more information at this time are invited to visit the music class websites, which are linked to the Lineville home page: http://linevillehssd.weebly.com Recess during the Winter Months - Students Need to dress for the Cold Weather and Snow! All students go outside for recess when the air temperature, factoring in the wind chill, is at or above zero degrees. Students must wear a winter coat, hat, boots and mittens to play outside on the playground in the winter, and also snow pants to play in the snow. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate outerwear to be able to play and stay warm at recess. Also, please make sure that all clothing items are labeled. Thank you! Volunteer Program has been streamlined
The registration process for volunteering has been streamlined. All volunteer applications need to be completed online in our volunteer program, Better Impact. Background checks will also be completed online at the BIB (Background Investigation Bureau) web site. No more paperwork to shuffle! This provides a secure environment for your information. If you are planning to volunteer at school or go on a field trip, please register in Better Impact by March 31st. Registration directions are on the district website under the Community tab, Volunteer Program (or click here for directions). The link to the background check web site will be emailed to you after your application is received. EMERGENCY CLOSINGS AND DELAYS
Inclement weather may necessitate the closing or delay of schools. If schools are closed this will also include the cancellation of extracurricular activities and the events in the community pool unless otherwise announced. Please listen to local radio or television stations for school closings or delays. Such weather may also deter students from going outside during the school day. Please be sure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather. In addition to local radio and television, weather conditions can be checked on-line at www.hssd.k12.wi.us. Click on the Wunderground link for local weather conditions and forecasts. ................................................
