A Message from Mr. Ebeling,
Hello Sailors,
I continue to hear from people that “nobody reads the newsletter and nobody checks the report cards”. I can’t believe that for one minute because we as parents are modeling the way for our kids, and working to stay connected with our school. Below you will find two KEY WAYS coming up to STAY CONNECTED: Report Cards and Conferences.
Report Cards
On Friday at 6:00 pm you will receive a message that you can access report cards in PowerSchool. Teachers have been putting in a lot of time recording information so that you can understand where your child is at in a specific standard area. There will also be comments to help you understand your child as a learner.
Conferences are February 11th and 16th from 4:00-7:30. If you had signed up and your time still works...GREAT! If you are thinking you didn’t sign up or you are interested in changing times, you will be able to do that digitally using TEESO, an on-line scheduler. It is fantastic, user friendly and connects all of your students in one area for scheduling purposes. On Monday, February 1st you will be able to sign up or change a conference time.
Give it a try now to login and see how it works for you. More specific directions will be mailed out soon, but you will find it is pretty self explanatory. You will see that you have the ability to schedule your kids as well as see open times (remember, we manually scheduled everyone who had already signed up for a time) but you will not be able to schedule until Monday.

Username: Whatever email you use for powerschool / that you gave us as your main email
Password: hssd *you will be prompted right away to change it for safety purposes
Enjoy the sun and the snow!

Dawn Brandt Lineville Intermediate School Music Choices
In March parents of 4th graders will be asked to choose a 5th grade music class. Course descriptions and registration information will be available on March 9, and parents and students will learn about band, chorus, and orchestra classes at Lineville. A selection must be made and the registration completed within two weeks. Parents who desire more information at this time are invited to visit the music class websites, which are linked to the Lineville home page: http://linevillehssd.weebly.com Recess during the Winter Months - Students Need to dress for the Cold Weather and Snow!
All students go outside for recess when the air temperature, factoring in the wind chill, is at or above zero degrees. Students must wear a winter coat, hat, boots and mittens to play outside on the playground in the winter, and also snow pants to play in the snow. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate outerwear to be able to play and stay warm at recess. Also, please make sure that all clothing items are labeled. Thank you! Volunteer Program has been streamlined
The registration process for volunteering has been streamlined. All volunteer applications need to be completed online in our volunteer program, Better Impact. Background checks will also be completed online at the BIB (Background Investigation Bureau) web site. No more paperwork to shuffle! This provides a secure environment for your information. If you are planning to volunteer at school or go on a field trip, please register in Better Impact by March 31st. Registration directions are on the district website under the Community tab, Volunteer Program (or click here for directions). The link to the background check web site will be emailed to you after your application is received. ................................................
