Learning and Growing Together at the State Education Convention Every January the State Education Convention, sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), takes place in Milwaukee. It is an opportunity for school board members, superintendents, and other school administrators from all across the state to network, learn, and share important and timely issues and ideas related to public education in Wisconsin. The theme of the 98th Wisconsin State Education Convention was “Leading for Excellence and Equity.” Howard-Suamico School Board members conducted a breakout session at the Convention on high-performing Board/Superintendent relationships. This presentation provided valuable information regarding Howard-Suamico’s policy governance model. Participating in the Wisconsin Association of School Board Education Convention each year is just one way that the Board of Education embraces their shared dedication to life-long learning. If you have any questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your Board member located in this article. Contact: [email protected] |
