Parent/Teacher Conferences - Thursday, Feb. 22nd and next week Tuesday, Feb. 27th!
Please note: All conferences that were originally scheduled on Tuesday, February 20th are now scheduled at the same time on Tuesday, February 27th. If for some reason, this day will not work for you to keep your same conference time, please call Sally in the office at 662-8802. Thank You!

Scholastic Book Fair Coming!
The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during parent/teacher conferences. Please plan on checking it out when you come in for your conference. All proceeds from the book fair benefit Bay Harbor by providing our students and teachers the opportunity to purchase books and build classroom libraries. The location of the Book Fair will be in the gym!

PTO Father/Daughter Dance - Friday, March 9th 6:00-8:00
Bay Harbor's annual Father/Daughter Dance will be coming up soon! Come join in the fun! If dad's are unavailable, a special person is more than welcome to accompany our Bay Harbor lady. There will be a DJ, Bake Sale and a Photographer. There will be a $1 charge per person at the door. Baked goodies and flowers will be available for a purchase as well. Girls can wear a special outfit or dress for this special event.
We need volunteers to donate baked goods (cupcakes, cookies, bars) water, and juice boxes for this event. If you are able to bake/donate, please email Sally Scheffen in the Bay Harbor Office at [email protected].

BH students are free, $15 discounted tickets w/ $5 from each ticket coming back to BH to help enhance learning opportunities. There will also be a “Dash for Cash” where a BH staff member will be sprinting and diving for cash. Participating students will be able to do a fan tunnel prior to the game if they would like.
All HSSD elementary schools will be participating in this evening of football. BH led in ticket sales last year (393 tickets)and we want to repeat! More information to come!

4th Grade Field Trip to the Lineville Community Pool
Wednesday, March 21st - 1:15 -3:15
The 4th grade students will be heading to the pool for an afternoon of swimming fun! Students will need to bring a towel, swimsuit, and a plastic bag for wet items. Students can also bring goggles if they want. Although we do not need chaperones for this event, if you would like to stop at the pool to watch, you are welcome between 1:30-2:30.

The menu for Thursday's school lunch will be the menu originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20th. Inclement weather may necessitate the closing or delay of schools. If schools are closed, this will also include the cancellation of extracurricular activities and the events at the community pool unless otherwise announced. PLANNED ABSENCE FORM All absences from school, not related to an illness, injury or family emergency, must be requested in writing at least 48 hours in advance in order for the absence to be excused (family vacation for example). Please complete the Advance Absence Notice for this purpose and return to school. This form will be routed to the student’s teachers for approval signatures. |
