FINAL BOX TOPS CONTEST OF THE YEAR!
Dear Parents –
We are starting this year’s final Box Top contest this week! (Look for a collection coming home with your child by Friday!)
Please return the sheets by Wednesday, May 29th in order for them to be counted and sent in before the deadline (sorry for the short time frame on this contest!). Or, if you prefer, you can send the Box Tops in a baggie or envelope instead of attaching them to the sheets. Just make sure the Box Tops collection sheets (or baggies) have your child's teacher name on it so that they can get credit. The class that brings in the most Box Tops will earn a Popsicle party.
Thanks for your help with this it generates a lot of money which directly benefits our kids!
CLICK HERE if you would like to print off a collection sheet now or need more....
BOX TOPS PROGRAM WILL BE CHANGING...
Also, just a heads up that the Box Tops program will be changing. Instead of cutting out and mailing in the Box Tops, eventually all earnings will be generated by scanning receipts for the specially labeled products and submitting them via the Box Tops App. (I believe the Blueberry Cheerios boxes are already set up this way and more will be switched over in June). I strongly encourage you to download the app, and scan your receipts whenever you purchase one of these products. The sooner you start, the better. They are saying there is an opportunity to earn double points as the program rolls out (by scanning receipts for products that still have a "cut out" Box Top).
They will continue to accept all unexpired "Cut out" Box Tops so we still have a little time to turn them in. We may also collect receipts if you prefer to submit them for scanning instead of scanning them yourself.

From your School Board
April 2019 New Board of Education Members On April 2, 2019, Scott Jandrin and Jason Potts became the newest elected members of the Howard Suamico Board of Education. The decision to run for a seat on the Board of Education reflects a commitment to public service and dedication to democracy. A choice to serve in this manner is particularly significant because locally elected officials are closer to the individuals they represent than other policymakers. Public schools carry out one of society’s most important tasks - educating students to become productive, responsible, civic-minded adults who prosper and serve. As a school board member, one must balance the interests and values of children, parents, teachers, administrators, taxpayers, business leaders, and retirees among others in our school district. Performed with sincerity and thought, service on a school board is a vital public service. The mission of the Howard-Suamico School District Board of Education is “to enact policies and allocate resources to develop all students’ full academic potential and to promote their social and emotional growth.” Therefore, it is desirable that our board of education consists of members who:
The HSSD Board of Education appreciates outgoing school board members, Mark Ashley and Maria Lara’s dedicated service.
