A Message from the Principal,
Sailor Families,
With us seeming to live inside a snow globe as of late, the district has had to make some adjustments to the remaining school calendar to make up lost minutes of instruction. I know that you have been communicated with in regards to this, but I am going to provide some reminders as well:
The goal is to not have to add time on at the end of the school year in June. With these current changes, there is some wiggle room in the case we have any other weather related incidents.
Thank you for your on-going flexibility and understanding as we work to balance student safety with student learning.
Sailor Families,
With us seeming to live inside a snow globe as of late, the district has had to make some adjustments to the remaining school calendar to make up lost minutes of instruction. I know that you have been communicated with in regards to this, but I am going to provide some reminders as well:
- Effective Monday, February 25th, our school day will be extended 15 minutes a day on the front end (8:30 start time rather than 8:45).
- Doors of the school will now open at 8:25 (1st bell) and students can go to their classrooms at that time. Please don’t drop your kids off before 8:20 as there is no supervision.
- Breakfast start time will remain unchanged (8:20).
- This Friday, February 22, will now be a FULL DAY of school and not a half.
- March 8th will now be a full day and no longer an early release.
The goal is to not have to add time on at the end of the school year in June. With these current changes, there is some wiggle room in the case we have any other weather related incidents.
Thank you for your on-going flexibility and understanding as we work to balance student safety with student learning.
