A Message From The Principal
Hello Sailor Families,
It’s HeRe, It’s HeRe!!! The 2014 Bay Harbor Holiday Concert has finally arrived and you can feel the electricity in the school. Ms. Capelle has been working very hard with our students to make this year’s concert the best one yet! The students are very excited (and nervous) to perform in front of you...but they are ready! To make this event even more special, Ms. Van Epps (Art teacher) has a wonderful display of student art hanging around the gym for your viewing pleasure. As you know, this is the BIGGEST event at Bay Harbor, so it will be busy. I wanted to let you know that we do have an overflow parking lot prepared for you. It is found behind our playground on Birch Rd. Additionally, because this is the season of giving, we would like you to bring a canned good (or two) to help support our partnership with the Giving Tree and fill up their shelves. Bins are located in the front of the school near the entrance to the gym.
I am excited to see you all on Thursday! Hang on and enjoy the ride….This month is going to fly.
Serving-Learning-Achieving-----TOGETHER,
Mr. Ebeling, Principal

Students should dress for cold and snowy weather
In order to prevent students from having wet shoes and cold feet, students will be required to wear boots during recess beginning with the first snowfall of the year. Students will need to wear their snow pants in order to play in the snow on the playground. As a rule, students go outside daily when the temperature, factoring in the wind chill, is above zero degrees. We want students to stay healthy so they can do their best in school. Identify your child's winter wear – As a reminder, PLEASE write your child’s name inside their snow pants, boots, jackets and hats. Do you know how many pairs of black snow pants and boots there are? This helps lost articles of clothing find their rightful owner. A note about mittens: Please have your child wear waterproof gloves or mittens once it snows. The knitted kind get wet when the kids play in the snow and then their hands get cold!
