Order forms going home today in the Take Home Envelopes!
Once again this year, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of an easy, convenient, and time-saving way to purchase school supplies for next year. "School Kidz" is a program that supplies you with a kit that contains all of the supplies listed on our "school supply lists" that are put together by our teachers for each grade level. These kits are competitively priced and take the hassle out of shopping for these items on your own. Look for these order forms in the take home envelopes! You can also order back packs. The kits will be delivered to school in mid August in time for you to pick them up to get ready for the start of another school year. Many parents who have ordered these in the past ask for them every year. It is a great convenience!

Penny Wars! A Huge Success!
Thank you to all who participated in the recent Penny Wars drive. The grand total collected was $933.37! Pennies were "Positives" and were added to the total in each container, however, silver coins and dollars were "negatives" and subtracted from the total put into each container. The 4th Grade won this fun competition and will receive an ice cream party. All other grade levels will receive a treat. The proceeds go to will our Student Council who sponsor various events during the year, including the recent SAGA Gymnastics field trips. Again, thank you so much! Check the Take Home Envelopes today for a purple slip that you will need to complete and return to school to indicate if your child will be eating a bagged school lunch on Monday, May 19th - our school wide "Assessment Day". The lunch on this day will be "Munch a Lunch". Please complete and return these slips by this Friday, May 9th. Our kitchen staff needs to know in advance how many students will be purchasing a bagged lunch through the school on this date. Thank you!
Orders have arrived! They will be going home with students today or tomorrow.
The lost and found is located in the hallway that runs in front of the school office and also in the cubby area near the playground doors. Please be sure to check out these areas before the end of the school year if you are missing anything. After the school year is over, any leftover items will be donated. Thank you.
Memory Books
If you ordered a Memory Book from Harmann's, they will be distributed to students on the last day of school. We will be taking time that morning to have students have them signed by friends and teachers before taking them home. We have a few extra that are available for sale. The cost is $13.00 and they will be sold on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to purchase one, please call the office. All checks should be made out to Harmann's. Father/Daughter Dance Photos All photos that were ordered at the dance or on-line from Moonstruck Photography have been delivered to school and will be sent home with your child sometime this week. Planning a Move?
Please notify the school office at 662-8800 as soon as possible if your child will be transferring out of Bay Harbor or the district at any time. Also, contact the school office when an address, phone number and/or contact information changes. It is important to keep student records accurate in case parents need to be contacted in an emergency situation. It also ensures accurate communication between school and home. |

Thank you! Nola Oberhofer and Rich Glen - Field Day co-chairs SAVE THE DATE - Fundraiser to help update our Literacy Room -Tuesday, June 3rd at Gallagher's Pizza Over the past two years, Bay Harbor has been focused on building and updating the Literacy Room. This room is utilized by all of the staff to enrich students’ literacy skills – primarily in a guided reading setting. In order to help upgrade the resources in this room, we are holding a fundraiser at all Gallagher’s Pizza locations on Tuesday, June 3rd. Please help support Bay Harbor by grabbing a bite to eat from Gallagher’s that day (lunch or dinner). You can even do carry-out or delivery! All you need to do is present the flyer, relax, and enjoy some good eats! Gallagher’s will then donate 20% of the proceeds, from the families that presented the flyers, to Bay Harbor! The flyer will be sent home in the Wednesday Take Home Envelopes on Wednesday, May 28th. Extra flyers will be sent home so you can share them with friends and family! Thank you so much for your continued support! What you can do to help: - Tell your friends and family about the event – share the flyers when we get them! - Write a blurb in your newsletters and/or websites about the event - Ask your students/families to “save the date” A 20% kickback is pretty huge! Thank you in advanced for all of your help!!! J Let’s get our book room looking fabulous! Joanna, Mindy, & Alison Golden Ticket Golden Ball Golden Tray
