Attention all parents and guardians of 4th graders... The "Memory Book Cover Contest" will be starting on Friday and is open to all 4th graders! Each year a Bay Harbor Memory Book is put together and will be available for purchase. The cover of the Memory Book is the winning entry of this contest. Teachers will be handing out a "Contest Cover Sheet" to any 4th grader who is interested. This Cover Sheet should be used to design and color the cover on and is due back to the Bay Harbor office by Monday, January 22nd. This year, students will be asked to incorporate the 10 year anniversary of Bay Harbor into their design. Please talk to your 4th grader about this to see if they might be interested in participating. The voting is done by teachers. Thank you! Lineville Intermediate School Music Choices

Did You Know? As the Board of Education continues to review the Community Task Force recommendations, we are reminded of their work and insight into our district. The Task Force members expressed surprise at several facts about the Howard Suamico School District. For example, did you know the HSSD tax levy remains at $9.19 per $1,000 of property value for the third straight year; this is well below the state average of $9.97 per $1,000 in 2016-17. This fact demonstrates the Board’s policy of fiscal accountability to the taxpayers of our district. For more information about the Community Task Force report, please view www.hssd.k12.wi.us/referendum. If you have any questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your team member located in this article. Speak Up Research Project Survey
The Speak Up Research Project polls K-12 students, parents and educators about the role of technology for learning in and out of school and represents the largest collection of authentic, unfiltered stakeholder voice on digital learning. It is important that the Howard - Suamico School District students, parents, staff and community participate to assist our district in acquiring information for future planning needs. The Speak Up 2017 online surveys open October 16, 2017 through January 19, 2018. Please read more at Speak Up 2017 Flyer. Speak Up survey link: speakup.tomorrow.org; Student Password for all students is hssdspeakup ON LINE FORMS For your convenience, below are links to some frequently used forms that you can print off at home, complete, and return to school if the need ever arises.
