3rd Quarter - Life Skills Update
Hello Parents!
Spring is creeping in this year! We are all ready for sunshine and warmer days! I hope they arrive (and stay) very soon!
Third quarter has been a productive quarter for Life Skills! Our lessons focused on: Empathy, Healthy Choices and Goal Setting, Bullying, and Healthy Communication.
The students in second through fourth grade focused on an anti-bullying campaign. Fourth graders made mini-posters to remind others we have “Respect” and “No Bullying!” at Bay Harbor. Third graders made feather posters to remind everyone “Words have POWER!” and to choose our words wisely. The hallways are full of Life Skills artwork!
In discussing Healthy Communication, students learned more about their “Big Voice” and how to be assertive rather than passive or aggressive. We also discussed respectful language and appropriate tone of voice.
Wishing You Well!!
