School Store will be coming soon! Volunteers needed!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
One of the Student Council's responsibilities is to have a school store. Students will have the opportunity to shop at the school store during their recess/lunch times. There are many items available to purchase from pencils, erasers, stylus pens, note books, folders and other items. The price range is approximately from .25 cents to $3.00. On the dates of the school store, students can bring in a small amount of money to spend.
We use the money raised from school store to do things such as send students to SAGA gymnastics, have whole school assemblies with guest speakers, purchase hands on learning equipment such as Spheros and Dash and Dot, and much more. We use the money in ways that benefit all students at Bay Harbor.
Our school store will be open once a month primarily on the first Friday, with the exception of February. We would like to enlist 4-5 parent volunteers to help out during the lunch and recess times from roughly 10:45-12:30 (these hours might change a little when we determine the exact times that students will be shopping). Responsibilities included in helping out are: set-up, selling, making change and closing-up.
Please consider supporting the Student Council by volunteering to help with the school store. If you are interested, please click here to complete the form and return it to school by Wednesday, November 16th. We are also looking for one lead parent that will be able to attend all 6 dates and help with organizing school store items before the school store opens.
These are the dates of the school store this year:
Friday, December 2nd, Friday, January 6th, Thursday, February 2nd, Friday, March 3rd, Friday, April 7th, and Friday, May 5th.
If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Van Enkevort or Mrs. Rosenthal, the Student Council Advisors.
Thank you!

This week presents all Americans with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. As we celebrate education in Howard-Suamico, your actions and attitudes are proof positive that education is a powerful force. A student’s world is changed through learning. It is not limited, however, to a few subjects or simply “knowing” material. It transcends a grade on a paper, an answer on a quiz or a letter on a report card. When knowledge influences a student to think deeply about whom they are - and their personal responsibility as part of a larger community - we all benefit. When education does this, it becomes a catalyst for positive transformation. The world is changed through people who understand life and contribute their knowledge to making it a better place. On behalf of the 6,100 students, and their families, the Howard-Suamico School District thanks you. Join us in celebrating the people who are committed to providing a great educational experience for every child! Sailor Pride Ticket Drawing Winners

Give a Kid A Book Campaign at Bay Harbor - now through December 10th.
The Friends of the Brown County Library announce the 28th annual Give-A-Kid-A-Book campaign. Molly Crosby, Monica Goode, and Jessica McCarthy, lead the campaign that asks individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, clubs and organizations for the donation of new books that are given as holiday gifts for local children in low-income families. Books collected will be distributed through the Salvation Army’s Holiday Assistance program in Green Bay and through other community programs throughout Brown County that serve at-risk youth and promote year-round reading. You can help! Needed are new, unwrapped books for children – babies through age 18. There will be boxes set up in the main hallway to put donated books in. Thank you for your support of this worthwhile cause! Congratulations, Jolie! As a result of her exceptional performance at the Sectional Level, she has qualified for the 2016 NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Green Bay Packers Team Championship held before the December 4th Packers game at Lambeau Field. Good Luck Jolie! Picture Retake Day - Thursday, November 10th!
Harmanns Studios will be here in the morning on this day to take pictures of all students who were absent on the original picture day, recently enrolled at Bay Harbor or who have requested a retake. Speak Up 2016
