Holiday Concert DVD's
Attention all Bay Harbor Sailors:
The Christmas concert DVD’s have been burned and are ready to distribute. There are two different media types available at the same price of $10.00.
Option 1) High Definition (can only be played on Blueray or a Computer)
Option 2) Standard DVD
If you already placed your order for a DVD and would like to upgrade to the High Definition DVD, please call the office at 662-8800 and let us know.

All orders will be going home on Monday, April 11th.

Application Period for 2016-17 Public School Open Enrollment If you know families outside of the Howard-Suamico School District who would like their children to attend our schools, the application period for the 2016-17 school year is February 1 through April 29, 2016. 4K Registration is available online starting February 1, 2016 on the Howard Suamico District website atwww.hssd.k12.wi.us/registration for 2016-2017 using our automated online registration system InfoSnap. Walk-In Registration will be available at the Howard - Suamico School District Office February 1 (8 am to 4 pm). To secure your child’s registration for the 2016-17 school year, the time to register is now. It is important for you complete the registration and provide verifications as soon as possible to finalize the registration process (NOTE: child must be 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2016). You may register anywhere there is internet access or at a kiosk located at one of the elementary schools or at the district office. Please bring the following verification documents when registering your child:

"Makerspace" Donations Desired.....
Makerspace is a Creative, Do-it-yourself space where we can gather to create, invent and learn. Donations of supplies are needed to use for creative tasks. Please click here to read more about what is needed. Shadow Days at Lineville for 4th Graders & Other Information:
Dear parents and guardians, All fourth graders in the district will spend a day visiting Lineville. The Fourth Grade Shadow Days schedule is: Wednesday, April 20th – Bay Harbor 4th Grade classes Students will arrive at Lineville at about 9:30 a.m. and will spend the day partnered with a current fifth grader. Fourth graders will “shadow” their partner through his/her daily schedule, going to some academic and some related arts classes. Students will also eat lunch at Lineville, helping them become familiar with lunchroom and recess procedures. Fourth graders will return to their school around 2:15 p.m. Informational Meeting for Families There will be an informational meeting for parents/guardians of all fourth grade students to be held at Lineville on Monday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. The Lineville principals will discuss some of the common questions that parents typically have and will be available for individual questions. All fourth grade parents who are new to Lineville are encouraged to attend. It is acceptable to bring students along, but they are not required to attend this meeting for parents. Placement Consideration If you have any special considerations for placement of your child for 5th grade there will be Parent Input forms available in each elementary school office and online at the Lineville home page beginning on April 15. The deadline to submit a Parent Input form is April 30, 2016. Attention parents and guardians of 3rd and 4th graders! All students in 3rd and 4th grade will participate in the WI Forward Exam starting in April. There will be more information coming soon, but we wanted to share the dates with you so you can plan ahead regarding absences. Students test the best in their natural environment with their peers, so please try to plan ahead if possible regarding missed school due to appointments, etc. 3rd Grade tests- April 13,14 & 19th (note: some of the 3rd grade dates have changed from what was listed in the previous newsletter) 4th Grade tests- April 25,26 and May 2,3, & 9 "School Kidz" School Supply Kits will be available to order soon!
We are happy to announce that once again you will have the opportunity to purchase school supplies for the next school year through the "School Kidz" school supply kit program. More info to follow this spring in upcoming newsletters and the Take Home Envelopes! The Teachers of Howard-Suamico Have Scholarships to Offer Their Students
The Howard-Suamico teachers are offering financial support to K-12 students for summer 2016 camps in academics, technology, or fine arts. Our mission is to support as many applicants as we can with partial payment. The amount awarded will depend upon the total cost of a camp and the number of qualified applicants. Priority will be given to new applicants.*We are sorry but we are unable to provide donations for daycare, summer school, sports camps or faith-based instruction. If your family was a recipient in 2015, you will not be considered again until 2017. To apply: Complete the following application (click on this link) and send it to the address below. Green Bay Blizzard & Bay Harbor Reading Incentive - May 13th - 7:05 pm. Save the date for a special reading incentive Bay Harbor will be doing in collaboration with the Green Bay Blizzard on May 13th @ 7:05. All Bay Harbor students will receive a free ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket AND will be able to be a part of a “Fan Tunnel” on the field as the Blizzard players are announced! We are in need of more pants for our health room. At this time of year when the snow is melting, our playground and grounds can be pretty wet. Once in awhile a student falls at recess, gets wet and needs a change of clothes. If you have any that you can donate (especially elastic waist pants) we would really appreciate it! Thank you!
